1. Get in touch with the email offer sender and get it legitimize in proper way, I think if you should initiate and approach in precise manner to convert an offer into placement.
2.be careful, If the offer letter uses word "Intended offer Letter" or a typical sentences such as, "we intend to offer you....etc.
3. keep tapping other job opportunities around you in a positive manner so that if the risk
takes its toll it will discounted by your efforts.
best of luck

| | | | Dear All,
Thanks once again. I shall try to get the hardcopy.
Please let me know how safe it is even after I receive the hard copy because the offer letter says probation period of 3 months. So, if they have any such intentions then, they can do it any day post joining. They confirmed by email that the joining date is extended and the same is indicated in the revised offer letter, however, they would like me to join before that. I spoke to the HR many times and he assured me of the validity of the offer as their Headoffice is at Mumbai, which would take time to receive the hard copy and insisted me to resign based on the revised offer letter by email.
Hope everything would go well.

| | | | acknowledge the receipt (email from the official id is valid communication by organisation and it has legal sanctity) and confirm about your joining. Acceptance of the Offer letter is compulsory. I hope that the terms and conditions of the offer letter might have negotiated with you earlier. Be assured.
all the best! | |

| | | | Hi Lakshmi,
Thanks for your comment from the legal aspect. Upon receipt of the offer letter, I replied back stating the acceptance of the offer, which was copied to other 2 people of the organisation. One of them I spoke to during negotiation of the package. The offer letter states that - We are pleased to have offered you an employment in the (Company Name)....designation, level and the CTC details.

I do not find any problem. You can always rely on an email copy of an
oppintment order, as cyber laws are more credible now a days.

However, on request for a signed scanned copy, the HR personnel said it would be send as soon as it is ready, however, I have already put in my paper based on the email confirmation and after confirming from the HR over the phone. Am I at risk, please advice?

Irerspective of email or hardcopy - it is still a document for future record. Please do note that an offer can be cancelled at any time, even if its given in the form of email or hard copy. BUt dont panic here,
I am sure you have "met" the team and been interviewed in a proper manner
You are aware of the person who is communicating with you is from the same company and is not a fraud one
Dates sometimes get changed - that is not an issue. But however - call the HR once and get it clarified and tell them you have already put your papers and will eb available to join them as requested. Be positive. |
