Need help on Equity issues / Overpayment
Hello All,

Could someone help me in dealing with a high profiled situation here? I am currently working in Kuwait and the problem is that one of my team member had accidentally punched higher salary figure in the HRIS system resulting in extremely higher salaries to one employee than others.

The employee have been receiving this higher amount since one year now and also the STI (Service Terminal Indemnity) have been credited to his salary account. My goal is to recoup the extra paid amount to the employee and pay back to the company. Another problem in recouping this amount is that the company is left with only 6 months on the contract and per Kuwait Labor Law one can recoup only 10% of the salary each month.

We will downgrade his salary in the near future but at the same time this becomes very important to recoup the amount he owe to the copmpany and there will be an Internal equity also within the dept. as other employees performing the same job are not paid as much as he does.

Any solution to this will be highly appreciated.
