Dear Mr Raju,
Greetings!
There are two types of leave - leave without pay and leave with pay. There are several important sub types of the latter (leave with pay). The most common types of leave are:
1.Sick Leave - to cover illness or visits to doctors, dentists, etc.
2.Annual Leave - for vacation and necessary personal business
Leave may not be combined on parts of two calendar days to provide the minimum charge to annual or sick leave. Leave is charged on work days only; absences on non-work days or holidays are not charged.

Dear John,
I differ on your statement that leaves are charged only on work days and not for any holiday. However if any holiday comes between the two leaves than that holiday is also considered as leave.
For instance a person is on leave on Saturday and Monday than Sunday would also be considered as leave and total leave will be 3 and not two.
As far as type of leave goes it may of the following type:-
1. Casual Leave
2. Sick Leave
3. Earned Leave or Annual Leave
4. Privileged Leave
Thanks
