Factory License Procedure

1) Attach Form No 2 & 3 (in three copis)with submission of required fees

2)Fees will depend upon present manpower strength / how many manpower strength yo want to take license and Horse Power used

3)kindly attach the descriptionn of manufacturing procees , GPCB consent , factry license etc

4) Submit the form 2 & 3 duly signed with fees challan to Factory inspectorate office.

5)If it is new license them factory inspector of your area will come to visit the premises and compliances as per factory act 1948. If you have to renew the license than depends upon the Factory inspector to visit or not.

6) If their is no query than you will get the license within 3 to 4 months.

thanks for reply,abhijit but it is in to short format. can u send in details like at what time which form is to be submited to which authority and docs requierd for to apply for . regards deepak

In addition to swetasawant version,

Factory license has to be applied on or before October of every month provided that license is valid for an year.

If applied n november then 10% of license fee as penal charge & 20% for Dec & 30% so on and so forth.

Five yr license can also be applied for.

Dear Abhijeet,

I m just been transferred at plant location by our company , Wanted to know that At our plant, we are having Registration & License to work a factory of 450 persons(approved by F&B-Chief Inspector). But after checking the overall strength of our plant i.e. on rolls & contract labour i found 623 persons.

Now as per ur posting above from where i can get this license updated with 650 (Proposed).either jaipur's chief inspector's of Factories & Boilers or The district F&B office.
