I completely agree with nidhi singh...long formal skirts are fine as long as they are not too tight and eye catchy....capris can b worn on fridays or saturdays...on other days it wud b 2 informal...and may not look professional....

Dear Meenu

Like others..... its completely depends on your company's policy. Also the management's and employees acceptance for the casual dressing in the working hours is must.
Rest like Makrand says...everything is possible in today's world.

Professionals abroad ( SE Asia/Singapore/China) popularly wear formats like suits with miniskirts too and the inherent Indian culture draws no walls. Always the focus must be to ensure that clothes must fit well into organization culture /employee job role & neighbourhood to avoid any misuse of freedom, distraction to staff or wrongful attention.

Yet the cases of sexual harrassment have no link to clothes and must be pursued vigorously by HR.

meenu,
Company either design its own uniform or enact a dress-code. The dress-codes are normally in the form of recommended limits of acceptance. In such case there no harm in allowing attires like 'Long Skirts' or 'Caprice' so long it is within the recommended limits of dress-code. Women have a natural tendency to wear fancy attires but it does not allways harm office culture unless it has abnormal cuts or revealing. Any extra-smart move to cheat the code can be skillfully handled by HR Manager.

Dear Meenu
As far as my opinion is concerned v ppl go to ofc 4 our work not 4 showing clothes
and no doubt if sm1 is in any different kind of dress it will distract the mind of others from their work.
so only formals shud b allowed.

Generally long skirts and capris are not allowed . if a company is really professional it will not allow such thing. Even on saturdays one should wear graceful dress. A compnay is aplace where people work together and wearing such kind of dresses can distract others. Some times management will not pay attention if any employess wear such dress just because they dont want to be hard and they are sensitive. But its up to employees that they should maintain decoram of the organisation
