| | | | | | | Manager's behaviour (extremely bad) I was appointed as Executive Asstt. to VP. (VP left the co. immediately after my joining) & i was asked to assist MD and I became Executive Asstt. To MD for approx. 2.5 years, I won the award too in the company for doing very good job. MD promotted me as Asstt. manager and transferred me in another dept. But unfortunately my Boss (who is in the co. since begening) did not co-operated me and also infd. all not not co-operate me. Whatever profile I handled he alwasy took it from me and gave to other people (mainly to his relatives, as he has recruited many relatives of him in the co.). He did all this, because my follow-up was very good and strong with them during my PA to MD perdiod. Due to this I requested management to tranfer me and they transferred me to out-station plant. But unfortunately there too he did like that i.e. not to co-operate me and not to give any profile to me, so that I could not grow properly. as he knew if i will have a work to do, i can grow inthe company, which he does not want, due to my follow-ups with him too as per MD's directives be it payment, orders, or other issues. now again they transferred me to same station, leaving my family alone there. My kids are also not so aged and now I am leaving and working at another station. It seems he always tries to give harrassments to me again and again. Above is not all he did his all best whatever he can, If I start sharing with u all, u will get irritated. My Request and suggestion to friend is give your suggestions on this and : DON'T TRUST ON ANYONE EXCEPT YOUR QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE, TALENT AND MAINLY IN GOD. MOREOVER I REQUEST ALL OF YOU + SENIORS + "WOULD BE SENIORS" NOT TO PLAY LIKE THIS WITH YOUR JUNIORS. HAPPY DIWALI AND BEST WISHES TO ALL OF YOU FOR YOUR BRIGHT FUTURE. REGARDS, RC SAKLANI | |

Ok the story begins when you were actually shifted in some other department and started working... All I am able to understand is that Boss of yours was not comfortable with you since you joined his team
So for that you don’t have to worry there is always an escalation matrix in every company if your manager is not giving heed to you approach his manager........ (Do this in worst case scenario)
Now let me tell you how you can deal with this....
Draft a mail in which you mark it to your manager with CC to his manager asking about clarity on your job profile
That mail should contain following points
1) What all you have doing in past days.
2) What all you have done in now not in your portfolio
3) What are your Key Result Areas.
4) What are the parameters on which your performance is judged .
5) Don’t forget to mention that due to lack in job clarity you are not able to focus on your work as well as getting confused day in day out because of these random changes in your profile
Also address that you seek stability in terms of your professional and personal life. Don’t worry write a positive mail asking support from your manager and also make sure that you are giving a message of disappointment simultaneously.
All the best | |

| | | | Hi
You can confront him directly.
Ask him why this harrasment and ask him that this wont be tolerated .
Because he is trying to harass you.and might be enjoying .
Keep your performance at the best.and dont be afraid because as i understand more you try to solve it indirect way he wont give response to that as he is senior and has influence in company.
Bad attitude should be dealt firmely ,Keep fighting bad attitude at the any cost because when you are ready to SANGRASH with live or die attitude this will chang his view towards yourself .and further handle it diplomaticallly.
I dont see any practial and fruitful solution to this than this.
If needed you can contact me on 9689901446.
SANGHARSH is Necessary to overcome Harassasment.

| | | | Simply I would suggest you to take this matter with managemnt.
Put forward your analysis of present job:
How much time you invest in your current job compare to previous? ( %)
You can identify by your total daily assignments and time you spend in completing them.
What is worth and value of your current assignments to the company I means whether you are overqualified and overpaid for such position?
Whether this job position is dumy position or fictitious job position which can be manage without employing you then what isyoru worth wasting time companies money on your salary?
You have to analyse this aspect.
Then request your management to conduct job analysis of such dumy positions in the organization by engaging outside consultants to identify fake or dumy positions to downsize organization.
This way company can optimise manpower and save wastage of salary on excess manpower and reward better performing employees instade of engaging low price too many employees without worth to the company.
Your company can retain only highly talented people in the organization and most of the excess who waste time on politics in office and being recruited through nepotism may be eliminated.
Send this suggestion to your boss MD and mark copy to your boss also and let him understand that job means business and not chairty or place of politics.

| | | | Dear Friends - Thank you very much for deputing your time, suggestions & Sympathy. As you friends hv already started giving ur valuable suggestions, now I think, I should share/ask with u more (which is based on my topic as well as your valuable posts on it) [Afterall I wish to make all you aware abt such incidents so that more people can learn something from this post and work in pvt. sectors accordingly, keeping such things in mind, to avoid such situation to come in their future]:
1. I used, Manager word, because when i joined he was just Manager and now is became AVP.
2. Since he is in the co. since it's (co.) beginning, he must hv worked hard, so I think we all need to understand that importance and respects should be given to such people. In fact I also kept only him as example in my mind (as he grown in the co. from very-very low level), and me too always tried & did worked hard, honestly & systematically, so that I can contribute and grow equilly in the company. But he has an Ego problem & nothing else, I am not the only person who says this, but some more people say like this & it is a fact. He is good almost for all but very bad for me and a few more people who aleady left or hv changed their depts.
3. I sent & discussed my problems with MD several times who resolved many times too, but that person become more irritated & continued walking on his bad path (harrassing me directly/indirectly) Now MD is what I think is in both's side, mainly towards him (afterall he is like a founder of the co.), and his decisions should NOT be changed, and same is happening almost 90%. I told MD/HR/+Him abt my job profiles, the best work I done for the co., the money (& travelling time by train) I saved in air ticketings by negotiating with travel agents and searching cheap fares thru net, as well as salary comparison too with my juniors, but still the result is almost ZERO. But may be due to the in the market & trust on God, I am waiting for the justice in the same co. as told to me by Shri Pratap Ji. I also told him+management abt my professional & personal life, which has became bad if I compare myself with the people with my juniors and especially with his relatives, who are working here and appointed as freshers recently.
4. Now i think, as he alongwith his Collogues/junior team, keeps giving instructions at my working station/depts. to my Boss and collogues etc. abt "Not to give any healthy / continued assignmentsto me" and taken 2-3 job profiles from, I started sending SMSs and started Calling to him on his mobile abt this situation, instead MD etc. etc., he decided to re-call my services to same place. I was thinking that he will keep me in his Dept. now, under his supervision I change his attitutde towards me (I feel some change too) but HR (may be MD) people, has given me another dept. where almost there is very less role of him in the co.
5. Now as usual I am working here in this dept. honestly and systematically, but God knows, "What Will Happen".
6. Since he always taking Panga with me directly/indirectly, be it office working hrs./lunch hrs. 1-2 three time I also got irritated and I talked to him in same voice (laudly), which I realised now, but what I was supposed to do?? I had to heard MD's directives too and ask him/his dept. for various pending/un-resolved issues, due to which customers were not happy? i.e. delivery/service/payment etc. etc.
7. Dear Friends, today I felt very happy with sharing this incidents with you. I wd like to say that the idea is not only to get your valuable suggestions for me, but as I said above, I want to enhance this critical situation with top seniors, as well as to all PAs to work carefully and Managers/GMs/VPs etc. to try to understand junior people's problems too and don't take their job profile as "PERSONAL" but take it as their "JOB PROFILE" for which they are being paid by the company. The owner/MD/CMD/ED are owner like our Family Head (Home Minister) i.e. Father/Mother/Grand Father/Grand Mother/Elder, Brother/Sister. If they will not look after us i.e. on our day-2-day expenses/savings/from where the money/payment/salary has to come, then in my opinion we will not be able to grow properly and will neverever make our future bright. Similarly, if the owner (MD?ED)of any organization, will not look on his/her business, or not see the pending payment list/order board/Deliveires/Service, how can the company will grow. If the company will not grow, we will also not get good increment and bonus etc. etc. I also think, that the reason for keeping a PA for Managers/VPs/MD/ED is not only to assist them with their secretarial work, but the PAs are also required to focus on company's day-2-day expenes / working automosphere and to tell owner abt the work, which is not happening. If it is not happening due to Mr. A/B, then we are not complaing Mr. A/B, but we are focusing on the payments/orders which was to come thru Mr. A/B. So Mr. A/B should not take it in person but should understand that it was PA's job profile to tell owner abt the situation so that we all can take Owners (MD/ED)'s guidence and help to solve the problems.
Thanks and Regards,
Have a very nice week-end to all of you.
take care,
RC Saklani. | |

| | | | Mr.RC, Its really a bad experience you have come across. Wherever you see you can find lot office politics now a days. But be clear one thing in your mind, Respect your profession but not the employer and respect your work culture not the others.
I mean to say, you should be very professional when you handle this kind of people. so always be coutious about your work.

| | | | You really sound frustrated. It's better you talk face-to-face with the person with whom you have issues and try to sort it out at that level.
If still the problem persists, you should approach the highest authorities in your organisation and tell them about the issues that you are facing.
However, if still you see no improvement then it's better you quit the job as you yourself have rightly said that DON'T TRUST ON ANYONE EXCEPT YOUR QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE, TALENT AND MAINLY IN GOD. If you are capable and believe in yourself and the Almighty, then you will surely find a better place to work. | |
