Hi ANu
Hi Anu,

Good morning!!

I am Shrihari here. I thought of helping you regarding ESI.

ESI Contribution :

Gross Salaries : Current Eligibility Limit - Rs.1/- to Rs. 10000/-
Previously the limit was Rs.7500/- . The ceiling has been raised with effect from October 2006. So, the Employee Contribution will be 1.75% and the Employer's Contribution will be 4.75%.

Hope the above information would help you.

Thanks & Regards,
Shrihari J

Re: hi Manoj
Hi Anu,
At the very outset I recommend the correct use of English in correspondence especially when it is professional correspondence. SMS text does not seem appropriate in this forum. We harp on business etiquette, corporate culture and then stray from this path. Let's utilise this forum not only to assist, but also to gain and hone our skills.
On the aspect of ESI, Shrihari has already highlighted that the earlier gross salary limit of INR 7500 has been increased to INR 10000. Thus if the gross salary of an employee is INR 6000, then the employee contribution is INR 105 while the employers contribution is INR 285.
It is stated in your post that ESI maximum salary limit is INR 6500. I think there is some confusion as INR 6500 is the current limit for Basic Salary for PF.
Are you by any chance maintaining the attendance register on an excel sheet? Or is it only the leaves? If its only the leaves then you may consider having a leave application form (hard copy) wherein dates are mentioned and have an excel sheet where only the number and types of leave on a month basis are stored.
Please feel free to revert in case of any clarifications or assistance.
regards
Ajay
