Vasireddy,

This seems a bit obvious but should not your PhD tutor be guiding you? Surely for the first few months of your PhD studies you have been advised to read widely around the topic. Only by reading round the subject can you spot an opening - some research that has not been done before or done before in India.

For a PhD you need to come up with some original finding - proving or disproving a theory, putting forward your own theory etc. The well intentioned suggestions of CiteHR members will not help you.

There are books available on how to do a PhD if you are not getting any support from your supervisor.
