Difficult to find the whole XL 96 batch or it will take a lot of time. But Log onto portal pick up anyone from XL 96 (depends HR or Sales which one you are looking at ) by keywords then

a) Straight away ask the question if he /she knows the one you are looking for. If yes, then ask for the contact details (be polite & be ready to hear a NO also). If he/she says NO pick another & do the same.

b) Pick up someone from XL 96 batch from portal, sell them a dream job & extend the conversation by throwing some fake names & checking if he/she was his/her batch or some other batch & then slowly come to the name of the one you are looking for & check if he / she is in touch. Dont forget to give him/her the assurance that you know that person very well (who you are looking for ) its just that you have lost the contact details & touch & now you are trying to revive the contact so your just taking the help.

Dear Simhan Sir,
I agree to the fact that Headhunting most of the time is unethical but that's what headhunting most of the time is all about. Not sure how much headhunting have you done.Still if you have something better to suggest to do headhunting then request to kindly let us know so that we can apply further.

Dear Sir,
If a Headhunter who is good in his/her work can cook a story on phone then to make it more genuine can also send details in writing which can be satisfying enough. That isn't a difficult work to do.

"It's because of such practices that the whole business of recruitment is in such a mess."

I have a little different opinion out here.According to me its not these practices who has make it a mess much rather its the DEMAND Vs. SUPPLY FACTOR , QUICK DELIVERY & COST MINIMISE factors who has made it a mess.

Even though people realise that they have been used to extract information but still the the intrinsic desire, the need to have something better makes them / will make them fall for it again by some other headhunter in the long run.

As you rightly said would appreciate if some other people in headhunting business can share their thoughts / views on the same to educate us more.

This would definitely help though not Most of the time .. as i had tried on my Own working as a Consultant ..and to the Matter of fact that has worked out...If other ways to trap the Requirement is Blocked tis too could be tried by furnishing Minimum information form our side and Possibly could extract the reqd information..That again depends on the way we Talk

Good Evening,
For accomplishing your "Project" in 4th Sem with HR specialization, you can take up the topic of "Green Collar Jobs".
Not everyone will know about it(I Guess), and it will help you to expand your Orbit of analyzing that how HR Dept. of different Companies are adopting the same.
Secondly, you will be able to spread knowledge among your friends of the same.

More queries are welcomed.
Hope it does your need full.

Respects & Regards
Hansjeet
