In a BPO, Hiring is one of the biggest challenges a HR professional faces given the fact attrition remains also pretty high round the year. Few techinques are mentioned below, not sure if you are still using these techniques. BPO usually goes for mass hiring so you can apply the following:-
a) Walk In Interviews - On a weekly basis keep publishing advertisements in the major newspapers telling that your company is hiring & one has to come to the venue on the mentioned date with 1-2 CV's to give the interview.
Make sure your ad looks enticing enough mentioning date/venue/timings/positions/number of positions/salary ranges (if your Co. is really paying well enough Vis-à-vis your competitors then surely mention/perks etc.)
If your offc is in a big city then apart from your offc location make 2-3 other locations which covers the major parts of the cities as venue to conduct the interviews. You can conduct interviews at those locations in the subsequent days at those locations (if you don't have a big team in HR / hiring)
b) Engage Recruitment Consultants - Start giving positions to different consultants spread across the city & give them a mandate that flow of the CV's should be maintained.
c) Encourage Internal References - Considered to be a excellent way to hire employee/s but doesn't works all that great when it comes to mass hiring but still a good way to hire employees. Encourage the already working employees in your organization to give references of their friends /colleagues /known persons etc. who are looking for a job & can fit into the jobs that you have. You can also do fancy Internal Job Postings spreading the word around among your employees that their company is hiring. Attach a money reward to this whole process in terms that if a referred employee joins & stays upto a certain the employee who will give the reference will get a cash reward.
d) Tie ups with Educations Institute- If your requires Graduates for the BPO work that you carry then go ahead have a tie up with the Colleges/ Educational Institutes in your City & go for a campus drive & hire them when they are about finish their graduation or would have finished up graduation.
e) Evergreen Job Postings - Post the jobs in your company on a job portal/s & start calling people from the responses that you get from those postings.
f) If you think that you are still not getting enough people then start to look candidates from other cities /states by publishing ads (just like point (a) in that city's leading newspaper & go there to pick people from there as well as apply point (d) by having tie ups with the Colleges/ Educational Institutes of other cities. )
Hope this will help | |

| | | | One more important way by which you can recruit is Candidate to Candidate reference. Ask the incoming candidate to refer their friends and relatives & may be you can announce rewards to make it more attractive. This has been a very effective way by which we have been recruiting. | |

Greetings of the day!
you can also choose from following options
1) Recently i have come across a method used by an BPO is that they are running training centers in big colleges with strength of around 3000 - 4000 students in there college doing Under Graduation courses & they are doing it in city like Gwalior u can do the same if you need i can help you with name of college & concerned persons.
2) also there are few training institutes working on Communication training for BPO's. they are training candidates & sending them to BPO's for interviews you can also contact them & make agreement with them
3) I all cities there are very good English / Personality development teachers who train students in there respective fields you can also get in touch with them.
4) Contact Training & placement officers of different colleges in city near your city & they can help you because they have lot of candidates in there databank & college
You can also send me mail for further queries on 'snbsriit@gmail.com'

Thanks for the wonderful suggestions. We are already using many techniques such as Internal Postings, Employee Referrals, Walk-in-Interviews etc. Few techniques could be implemented like Candidate to Candidate references, Contacting Placement offices and taking interviews on specific locations.
I'll look forward to your support in future as well. One thing i would like to mention is that we are a Pakistani firm with presence in major cities of Pakistan as well as Global sites. Therefore posting the jobs on this site is a concern in this case. But still if this can be helpful kindly suggest.
I would also like to ask about another suggestion.
Can we post the jobs on social networking sites and how effective that could be for us?
Looking forward to your support.

As far as posting jobs of your company on this site is concerned i belive the administrator /owner of this site can answer it best.
Surely you can post jobs on Social networking sites & it is a good avenue to get good candidates but at the same time it also depends what are the skill sets you are targeting. As a personal experience lot many times the output is not all that great as expected. But surely will suggest you to go ahead & apply it.The output for you might be quite fruitful. Its definitely worth a try.
At the same time understand that you being in HR & doing hirirng you have to explore all the possible sources where you can get potential employees.
