Are you happy with your Attendance Recorder & System of Salaries
Hello everyone.

This query is especially to those who have implemented systems related to swipe card recording and automisation of salaries/wages in a manufacturing industry, in Pune. How happy are you with your systems? Do they really help in reducing the manual work and to what extent?

We employ about 100 permenant and 100 contract workmen with different 8 to 10 shifts and have a swipe card system with three recorders at difference locations.

The attendance system is supposed to have been integrated with our existing ERP, however, I need to make at least five to six manual entries for each person per day. Because there was an existing ERP, we did not purchase the software related to salaries from the vendor who supplied us the Attendance Recorders.

Now, we are not at all satisfied with the ratio of efforts when compared to our investment in the recorders / ERP. Two persons from my department are busy for 10 days in updating the attendance records and finalising salaries for just 200 persons.

Is there any hope for us? Sometimes I think making salaries manually would have been much simpler!
