Genaral Manager/Associate General Manager Requirement
Position Details & Scope of position:


The position holder will report to Vice president (Business integration) of the sector and will

· Drive a Strategy & Planning for a portfolio of business /corporate services of the business
o Scan the environment, analyze the opportunity / risks, and provide strategic alternatives for sustainable growth & development.
o Develop Business level strategy through portfolio analysis.
o Co-ordinate with the Steering committee of Business/Support Functions & drive the process of Strategy formulation & Planning.
o Develop / improve processes, frameworks, tools & techniques to make strategic planning process, world-class.
· Support business/corporate functions in executing & realizing the Strategic / Annual Operating Plans (AOP).
o Drive the process of formulating Annual Operating Plans (AOP) with appropriate framework.
o Support & or develop processes, frameworks, tools & techniques to monitor the key initiatives for deployment, periodical review, critical analysis with preventive & corrective actions to realize the Operating Plans.
o Co-ordinate the collation of MIS from Businesses/Functions, consolidate at the Group level and provide key in-sights for appropriate actions.
o Supporting providing Analytical support to businesses for identification/evaluation of additional revenue streams / process development / risk management processes.
· Provide Thought Leadership & Decision making support to the Senior Leadership.
o Identify new opportunities and present initial opportunity briefers at the business level.
o Drive the alignment among different stakeholders to facilitate decision making.
o Define& scope the assignments requested by the Management and structure them appropriately to generate useful insights.
o Provide strategic perspective to the Management on relevant challenges.
· Drive institutionalization of relevant best practices for Organizational excellence.
o Identify, articulate & support institutionalization of best practices in Planning, Performance Management, Risk Management etc.
o Drive & improve the performance of Group Planning Function in adding value, in close co operation with the corporate strategy and planning function.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

· Knowledge and understanding of features/ concepts of infrastructure sector; banking and financing; strategic planning methodology and linkage to execution; portfolio management and resource allocation etc
· Ability to quickly grasp the macro-economic dynamics, sectoral business environment, leadership expectations and translate them into strategic planning methodology (eg: business value drivers, opportunities, competition, key trends etc.,) with linkage to execution & realization with appropriate portfolio management and research allocation.
· Ability to structure and frame assignments appropriately and generate relevant insights at value identification (bid preparation), value creation (project management) & value realization (asset management) cycles.
· Ability to lead and managing the team / resources in ensuring qualitative and timely completion of assignments.
· Multi-tasking with flexible approach, with right prioritization.
· Good relationship management skills and ability to engage Senior Management as Peers.
· Ability to drive decision making in large diversified Businesses by co-coordinating and aligning with multiple stake holders.
· A mathematical aptitude and the ability to express/communicate well, both verbally and in writing
· Firm grasp of statistics and data manipulation and computer literacy
· An enquiring and methodical mind, initiative, integrity and an interest in local and international affairs are vital to this profession
· Deep understanding of consultative approach
· Excellent communication skills (Written/one - one /Group Presentations)

Requirements:

· Person should hold an Engineering Degree with post-graduation in Business Administration from a premier institute
· Person should have work experience of about 10 years. Out of this 10 years, should have around 6 years of experience in strategy & planning function in infrastructure/large manufacturing conglomerate / consulting Firms
· Experience in consulting Firm / Infrastructure sector and SAP familiarity would be preferable
