One of our employee worked in a organisation about 13 years and he got pension certificate.
Now he contributing to pf in our organisation.
My question is
1. Whether he has to inform/submit pension certificate to present pf office where he is contributing now.
2. Is there any benefits by sumbitting this.
3. What are all the other benefits/requirements.
Kindly clarify.

Hi ,
He has to submit it at the time of claiming pension .it will be merged
in his accumalation.It is called as capital certificate.(if i am not mistaken).

The certificate is neither called pension certificate nor capital certificate. It is called " Scheme Certificate". It confirms employee's entitlement to pension and ensures RPFC will pay him pension on attainment of age of superannuation. However he may claim pension at the age of 50 but that will be a discounted pension.

Under EPS scheme pension is calculated on average basic+DA earned by an employee during last 24 months preceeding his exit from the organisation. When RPFC issues the Scheme Certificate to an employee they calculate the avg basic salary which is mentioned on the certificate. Therefore when the employee attains the age of superannuation there is no further need for calculation of basic & DA for processing his pension.
