Default Request for career planning tips from respected senior membe

Respected Senior Members,
Hope you are in the best of health and spirits!!

This is Ravi. Following are a few lines of introduction about me.

I am a BE [Electronics & Communication, RV College of Engineering] and
PGDBM [HR] from Wigan & Leigh College, UK. As per the course at Wigan,
I have been employed with HumanCapital Consulting for 2+ years now.

I have good experience in Executive Search and Generalist activities.
Of these 2+ years, I had been deputed to Yahoo! Bangalore for a period
of 5 months to handle all their R&D requirements.

I also am a Certified Handwriting Analyst. This certification gives me an
edge as a HR Professional.

I have been a topper all through my education and am now looking forward topursue a career as a HR Business Partner/ HR Generalist/ Trainer/ Recruiter role with a Top Company.

The issue I am facing is that though I have good experience in both Recruitment and HR Generalist activities, I am not able to get a call for a HR Generalist role. Kindly advice me on:

1. Whether I should move out of recruitments and get into the Generalist space, in the first place.
2. How should I be planning my career?

I have attached my resume for your kind persual and for your valuable insights and tips.

Waiting to hear from you.

Thanks and Best Regards,

Ravi. R

Dear Ravi,

Very impressive profile..

Only thing which may prevent potential recruiter to call you is your "stability factor"..how is he/she going to convince internal customer or client about the same.

Like you even i share the passion on Graphology though am not certified but sadly the companies in India haven;t realised the true potential of the same and lay more emphasis on competency and reference check reports. But am sure it's matter of time ..

Just be patient and am sure you would get the right break..

Cheers,

Rajat
