Hi! i am working in manufacturing industry. I need calrify the difference between Personnel & HR functions.

Dear Ajay,

Personnel constraint to word under HR & Admin deptt. Basically its a part of HR& Administration and used to do the employee related work i.e. salary & Wages , EPF, ESI, Time Management and so on. But HR has wide area in an Industry/factory. HR makes the work environment for employees to work an industry/factory. Its provide help the industry to maintain a system with the help of HR Policies.

Dear Mr. Ajay,

What mr. anil is saying is correct in simple words we can say like all IR and Employee Relation (Labour, contract Employees, Trade union etc.) as your in manufactruing unit its more concern about safety and trade union activites.
HR now its totaly related to policies, recruitment, training and development, performance management, etc., even including IR & ER.
for more clarifcation please read Human Resource text book written by K Aswathappa for bangalore University(for easy understanding).
