| Dear Seniors and HR members, your suggestions please - URGENT Dear All HR friends,
I putforth my present scenario for the dear members views and opinions:
1) I have started my career in Stenographical (shorthand dictation taking and reproducing it in document form) line and continued to work in the same line from 1996-2000
2) I have got an abroad offer and left that due to personal reasons of my mothers' illness that happened in the year 2000.
3) After that, subsequently changed few companies, due to downsizing of staff by the company (its unfortunate) and for my better prospects.
4) Presently, I work as Executive Secretary in Chennai (my qualification is B.Com (but not worked in accounts till now!), P.G.Diploma in Financial Management and MBA HR through distance education expecting final year results.
My question of the case, to the dear HR members and friends for their opinion and views are:
1) In the present job they have appointed me as Executive Secretary to Director (I joined this company this year Feb) and soon after 2 months they shifted me to Legal department to report to Vice President.
2) No change in the salary structure
3) No written communication served for change of role, only verbal direction, when asked for explanation they just washed out the hands
I m now being utilized for the following works:
1) Documentation
2) Miscellaneous works which an office assistant can very well do like, photocopying, couriering and some ran-errand works Please let me know dear members, that am i being exploited by the employer? Your kind opinion and suggestions on future course of action, will help me to decide furthering my future career. Please enlighten your views, dear members. I have been all along thinking about this, and was undergoing lots of depression, in fact but not able to find a solution. So, posted this in citehr, and I have great confidence and admiration to this forum for lots of intellectual and useful posts. MEMBERS, PLEASE THROW SOME LIGHT ON MY FUTURE. I joined MBA HR with an ambition to move to HR and I have a little exposure to HR as well. This greatly foregoes my confidence level and trust in myself.
Seniors kindly give your suggestions urgently. Thanking you in advance, K Balaji |
