Entitlement to Gratuity in case of Lecturers

My wife worked as a lecturer in SPW College Tirupati Andhra Pradesh under TTD from 04 Nov 1981 to 01 Aug 1992. She resigned from her post in Aug 1992. She was on leave with out pay for some periods after March 1988. Is she entitled to gratuity as she had qualifying service of at least 5 years.

Ofcourse she will be entitled to gratuity but whether she will get it or not depends on the company policy. If the company pays gratuity to others who have resigned or retired then she will get it too.

Dear Sarma,

She has to get graruity. it is not the company policy but it is her right. She can approach the management & can demand the same.
