House rent self declaration format
Its time to submit investment declaration and other tax saving documents in my company. my company says that in order to get benefit of tax exemption on hra i have to submit rent receipts with either of one i.e. rent agreement or self declaration form. so i have rent receipts but i don t have agreement done with my flat owner so now i need a format for rent self declaration. please provide me with house rent self declaration format. thanks in advance.

Rent receipts for hra - cash bassi or accrual basis
For claiming hra is the rent paid to be considered on accrual basis or cash basis? in other words should we consider rent receipts date or for which period the rent applies. for example for the fy april 1 2014 to march 31 2015 if the employee pays rent in the following month march rent paid on april 5 then should we take: 1 rent receipts for the occupancy period march 2014 to feb 2015 which will have receipts dated between april 2014 to march 2015? or 2 rent receipt for the occupancy period april 2014 to march 2015 which will have receipts dated between may 2014 to april 2015? thanks for your advice.
Can i safely produce fake rental receipts as always?
The new income tax circular 05/2011 mandates that if the annual rent exceeds rs.180000 one should produce the pan number of the landlord or a declaration by the landlord that their income is below the taxable limits. naturally i m planning to produce fake receipts for rs.20000 p.m and a fake declaration that landlord s income is below the taxable limits. is there anything i should be worried about?

Hi experts i would be joining a company this coming july. i have a few queries on income tax basically tds. 1 would the company deduct the income tax from the salary from the very first month? and if so how can one save under various saving schemes and reclaim the income tax deducted? filing for income tax reimbursement from income tax dept can be a cumbersome process so i would like to know how can i reclaim the income tax from the company itself. 2 is there a provision wherein one can pledge to the company that he/she would save rs. x under tax saving scheme? thanks
