Please advise- leave policy in software company
Hi all i have just recently joined a software company based at uk . we are about to make some amendments in the present leave policy. please put in some thoughts about what could be the leave policy in software company.? at present we have total 20 leaves in a financial year jan dec. we have a policy of encashment which is not more than 10 leaves in any given year. we are considering 2 leaves per month whosever takes more than 2 leaves its considered as lwp. but still the management thinks that there should be some changes in the policy as the employees are taking it easy as whatever the leaves they wil ltake in excess of 2 they wil get the encashement of 10 leave at the end of the year. also lwp and leave encashment is calculated on the gross salary. please suggest your valuable inputs for the same. awaiting a quick response. thanks in advance. nisha
Number of leaves that can be given in a year except privilege leaves?
Dear all i request all to explain me leave policy. i am looking for more information like how many total leaves can be given to an employee in a year as our company is a pvt ltd co at pune and got 30 team members at mumbai location. they do not want to give privilege leaves as these team seats at client location. they can t afford 34 days leave by any employee. please guide on number of leaves that can be given in a year except privilege leaves. regards sapana
Leave policy and processes that can be designed for an it company
I am working with an it company . i am supposed to revise the leave policy and its process. currently we are providing 12 leaves per financial year. and 10 other festival and national holidays. total 22 leaves in a year. also the festival leaves includes only hindu festivals. pls suggest how can i adjust other festival leaves for other community working at our place without increasing the number of festival leaves provided. kindly let me know the best leave policy and processes that can be designed for the company.
Lapses of accumulated leaves
Hi our industry come under bombay shops & establishment act i have draft leave policy where pl 21 days cl 3 days & sl 3 days upto 48 leaves can be carried forward and maximum of 10 leaves can be encashed in a year. these said leave policy is from calender year 1st april 200931st march 2010. this is the first time we have draft leave policy for our company prior to that we used to give 27 days leave in a year cl sl pl was not merged now we have employees working in our organisation for last many years whose leaves had been accumulated for more than 50 to 60 days. if we implement the said leave policy can we lapse their accumulated leaves for more than 48 days or we have to compensate their total accumulated leaves leave enchashment can we all of the sudden inform the employees that their leaves more than 48 had been lapsed. is is legal to lapse the accumulated leaves. awating for your reply at earliest. with warm regards my question is that

Hi i am working as hr in a company. i need complete process on leave. as i know company is providing various kind of leaves eg clpl.slmaternity leave etc. here my question is an employee who joined in the company get s the total no of leaves as per policy of the company or providing leaves on pro rata basis? in probation period whether person is getting full benefits of leaves? how many leaves will he benefited after completion of 6 month when he gets confirmation. regards sanjay bhatia 8128030221
