Hi,
After the Fringe Benefits Tax declaration in this budget, many of the companies have taken off the car lease policy,
anyways if u wanna introduce, then the company can lease the car to its employees and claim depreciation on it and for employees 10% of the value is taxed.

I agree with Ramya that Fringe Benefit Tax has definitely hammered a nail in lots of coffins [benefits that we used to get]
But it is great that you are still providing one..

We don't have a policy specifically written for it.. but we have it for local conveyance...
Under this policy we reimburse the fuel charges [Rs2 per km for two wheeler and Rs 3.50 per km for a 4 wheeler]
The taxi hire charges are paid at cost... But the employees at the level of members are not allowed to travel by Taxi.. They can hire an auto instead..
As for the Company Car, it is a leased car for a travels operator who charges monthly fee... This car is under the control of Admin and is given for to and fro of the special shift employees. [This facility is not available to the general shift staff]

Dear Ramya and Ajmal,
Thanks for your valuable inputs provided on the subject.Friends I want this policy prepared under the light of FBT and new IT rules in such a way so that a minimum liability comes on the part of employer and employee. All other friends are also invited to comment upon and provide some more inputs on the subject viz: What shall be term of recycling or how much amount shall be taken from employee or some conditions like on completion of a certain period the car will be of the concerned employee etc,,etc,,.
Looking for more inputs .
Regards
Ashok kumar
