Notice Period
Hi everyone,

I am working for a xyz software consultancy. As per my agreement/bond with the consultancy, I've two years of bond. As per terms in the bond, my contract will expire in Nov, 2009 and I've to serve the notice period of 2 months before I leave from the consultancy. Now my question is, can I give notice in the Sep,2009 so that I can quit my job in the month of Nov,2009

Thanks in Advance

No, you can only resign after Nov, 2009 with a notice period of 2 months.

Notice period is part of working period, in other words it is part of bond period. I think you can serve notice in Sep 09.

If your contract is two years and there is no further clause for continuation than there is no need of give any notice for two months. You can very well walk out. Yes you can inform them that after the expiry of contract you will not be continuing with them

As per the agreement if your contract is for Two years and there is no clouse for Notice Period, so you dont need to stay there after Nov 09. even you can not leave before nov 09.
