Minimum wages
Dear friendsi am little confused about salary structure of my company. we are paying every employee more than the minimum wages keeping basic salary as minimum wages and balance amount as other allowances such as hra conveyance. problem arises when minimum wages of revised as per state governments. we do not increase the salary only change component of salary i.e. from hra to basic or conveyance to basic or lta to basic. please anyone suggest me we are doing the wrong or not.thanksranjit9818758445

Hi all cite hr members i m working in a pharmaceutical company and we need to recruit workers in semi skilled category. i am little bit confused in framing salary bifurcation of the workers. i know that we can not pay below minimum wages to them. i just need to know that the minimum wages should be consolidated amount of basic and da but can we keep bifurcation in a way that the total salary bifurcation is above the minimum wages and keeping basic at the lower rate. is it necessary to bifurcate the whole salary in & da and deduct pf on minimum wages. or can we keep the basic & da low

Dear all please advise what is the correct definition of minimum wages. our local labor consultant claims that minimum wages means only basic d.a. he says all the other salary components do not matter. our company gives basic hra ta which is way over the minimum wages but if we consider only basic then we have to increase the basic for everyone. can somebody please advise.
Govt. guidelines for minimum basic salary .... urgent
Hi all can anybody tell me that whether there is a govt. guideline for minimum basic salary? here i am not talking about minimum wages. the question is for minimum basic salary. what of total salary shall be given as basic salary? is there any rule which says that minimum basic should be 70 of the total / gross salary? is there any guideline that the minimum basic slaray should be rs.2500/ pm? the above are the sugessions given to me by some of my friends. they are also not very clear on this. need your help. thanks sweety singh

Dear all there is certain amount in minimum wages act in different states. my query is that how do we build a ctc as per minimum wages. a is the minimum wages which is basic salary should be the ctc? b the basic salary should comply with minimum wages or the ctc should comply with the minimum wages? pls help thanks amit
