Why employees leave organisations ?
The following are the broad reasons on why employees leave organizations:
1. Management: If the Management does not give importance to its people and fail to follow practices of recognizing the talent and upgradation of their skills on continuous basis.
2. Boss: If boss fails to recognize one's importance in a team and when an employee is not being involved in arriving at some key decisions that are being taken pertaining to his department/section/team then the employee feels out of place and started having other thoughts of leaving. And if the boss lacks trust and confidence on his employees and keeps on spying on his people's work and if he doesn't appreciate an employee's work and fails to give credit for the work done and if he is unable to make the employee perform better by inspiring and acting as a source of positive energy then the employee starts thinking of other alternatives.
3. Role clarity: If the role of an employee is not clear and surrounded with lot of ambiguity and lack of proper level of hierarchy are other reasons for which employee gets frustrated and leave.
4. Compensation: If the compensation is not reasonable and is not strictly commensurate with an employe's skills, experience and work out put and if he or she gets a feeling that they are getting only peanuts then they will leave in search of greener pastures.
5.Team work:Lack of team work and giving importance to individuals instead of team as a whole which leads to lack of cohesion and coordianation in a team resulting in individuals getting all the attention by compromising the interests of the team. This leads to lot of heart burn which ultimately makes an employee to quit such a team.
Moreover, the most important thing is that an employee should not be treated just like a cog in a machine. If he or she is being treated like that then obviously he will make up his mind to search for other alternatives.
