Can I go to the Labor Court on not letting me join the company on the promised date

Hi, please help me out with your valuable advise. I got through the interview for Jindal's call center i.e. intellicom center. I was asked to join on 6th of july 09. I joined the company on the same date and was in the company from 9am to 2 pm and at around 2 pm I was informed that due to some mistake from the HR side I have missed out on filling out a form. The form was required so that they could have sent out the mail regarding all the people who have joined on that particular date. They said that I have to leave and join back on 20th of July 09. I promised to join on 20th of July and left. Later I was informed that the joining date have been postponed and I have to join on 27th of July 09 and I again promised to join on the given date. On 27th of July I reached the office at 9:30 ,as the company has asked to report by 9:45, but the guard didn't let me and other people in. I called up the HR and she said that they have met the required no and now I can not join today.

So please let me know if I can take any legal action against the company as because of their fault on the 6th July 09, I have wasted a lot of money and time

If you have the offer letter with you, certainly you should go to the labor court. I feel that though the labor court is not very stong in India and you have to do a lot of hard work, atleast you can threaten stupid companies like these who just play around with people's emotions. Why not you try to contact some of the other candidates like you and all of you go together. I feel sorry for you dear, but don 't worry this is just a phase of life everyone has to go through, so don't worry....the way gud days doesnt last the same way even bad days wont stay for long....Best regards,

I must say that their must be some other reason behind this action. First do one thing try to contact the HR person (superiors) of that company. put your case infront of them. and ask for clerification.
Nothing is informed to you orally till date(as you said). Tell me whether you have a offer letter or Appointment letter. If you have appointment letter then you can go to labour court. Even you can approach to News CHannel. THere are lot many ways.
In all this you will be highlighted, and in coming future that may effect your career as well. SO be very much clear wht you want to do take the decision after all the aspects are clear to you.
