Whether an establishment can initiate disciplinary action against a trainee for suppression of facts in collusion with a regular employee? although it was advised that termination of the trainee employee can be effected immediately without assigning any reason in line with the terms of training order the management is specific in initiating disciplinary action against the trainee and if proved the term of training period of the trainee be terminated with the sound reasons. in the classification "trainee" also defined as a workman. the said trainee is not an act apprentice. request seniors views please.

Instead of confirmation of service, unfairly extended training period.
Dear sir last yeari joined a cpsu as technical trainee and getting stipend.the appointment letter was only for one year for trainee post & after the completion of training period confirmation was to be done as per the psu standing order but instead of confirmation of service management unfairly extended the training period without any reason. now i have rendered 20 months of service including one year initial training period but till yet there is no update from management side. we are 10 candidates who are suffering same problemduring advertisement it was a confirm post but they have released appointment letter for trainee post. we are doing all work as like permanent employee but getting stipend in place of full salary. we belongs to workman category. please advice what steps/action should i take. regards yash

Dear all we are in software development sector. is it compulsory to us appoint apprenticeship trainee and provide trainee. we are covered in designated tarde definition as per act. if yes is there is any criteria to decide no of trainee to be appointed time period of company incorporation/operation. plz advise.
Could management trainee period not be counted /be counted as an experience?
Apprenetice act 1961 clearly shows trainees are not workman/employee.we can only give training certificate not experience certificate.if we consider tainee period into an experience then trainee will become employee.that is is unconstitutional.
