Dear all, i read the replies that i got for my posting...
I'm a person who welcomes praises and critisism with open mind.
I have made this posting not with a intention to criticize any working system related to HR or the company requirements, but it's my view what i observed and even got hear say from a few people expressing thier views in the same way as i did. VIews may be right (or) wrong doesn't matter. But, if discussed and analyzed, will help to clear the doubts of many people who have doubts like me.
This can benefit a large group of people who are in search for a good job at this present situation.

In the same way, if members have given references of any known consultancies (or) HR people who are in need of candidates with skillsets in DAtawarehousing, Oracle, Java, C++ e.t.c., this thread, members views and feedbacks will benefit not only me, but many a candidates who have a state of feeling as mentioned here....

Criticism shall be there, but at the same time friends, If you have any
known job openings in IT field PLEASE post it in this thread...

Hello Seniors and my friends, can any one help me please...

i'm scared, when this economic recession is going to end... previously i have noticed a lot of walkins/ direct interview will be continously going in MNC's. But, now adays i hardly see anything.... especially in my domain Data warehousing -Informatica,Oracle-9i,Testing

I attended a few Walkin interviews recently. I answered to the best extent. It's possible for any one to rate the interview that he/she has done well or not. I Knew, even i may not have 100% satisfied the interviewer, but atleast 80 to 85%. But still, the answer is "Ok, HR will get back to you".

If people don't mistake me, here i would like to ask a question.
Not all people can know about all things 100%. The interviewer tests the candidate skills and comes to a decision based on the answers. Let's have this way. If suppose, the candidate asks a question to the interviewer from the subject, and the interviewer is unable to answer the TEchnical Question, THen does it mean that the interviewer don't have TEchnical skills....... How come the interviewer comes to a conclusion about the candidate in a very short time of the interview....

Really it makes me to suspect the interview process sometimes.... If the companies really have projects and need candidates, they should be able to take decision about selection of candidate and make the process fast... but this is never happening in recent times.... So are these interviews mere "EYE WASH" to people ( the one that is put up as walkins in TCS, CTS e.t.c.,....

Hello seniors, I'm trying to find a good job. Here with please find a summary of my skill set

2) Have 2 years of experience in Testing. Worked as Tester (software testing- Manual) in salem. Have good exposure to QTP,LoadRunner. others are Technical writing, HTML , AVI cam studio.

Mr. Sanjeev, I guess you are in a comfortable job.
hope you can distinguish between a Thread and advertisement.
Here people discuss to get ideas from experienced / diplomatic people so that it will help them.
If your views can help some one, say it otherwise no body is going to bother your comment. Be practical and behave matured....

Hi Pratap Why would you think, a corporate puts so much effort to conduct an event for "eye wash". Just re-wind the entire interview process and figure out what went wrong. -Karthick

Hi Pratap,
I agree to what Karthick has wriiten.. Lot of hard work by the technical and HR team is put behind any walk-in.
If u cudnt clear thru, that means ur skill levels dint fit their requierement..
Any corporate will not have spare time to conduct such events unless it is really reuqired by them..
Anyways.. better luck for ur other interviews.Have faith in the system.

Hi Pratap,
You hardly see Walk-in advertisements but have already attended a few Walk-in Interviews? But that is not my question, my question to you is: what is a better job?

Hi Pratap -

1, When an HR states - 'will get back to you' it does not mean you are a reject. In a few cases it maybe, but it is mostly to review all applications before finding the best match

2, You may rate the interview anywhre btw 80-100% but it also depends to what the HR is looking for. It can not be restricted to technical questions or answering all questions correctly.
Eg: When i interview a candidate, I mainly look into the candidates ability to handel a situation when he/she cannot answer a question.
This ability is sometimes more important than answering a question correctly.

3, Usually their are a lot of people attending an interview.
You may feel your session was good during the interview but you must not rule out the fact about how others may have performed too?

The job recruitment senario are now slowly but steadily improving. Hopefully You may come accross good opertunities soon. I would suggest you to be confident and give your best shot each time.

wish you best of luck for your job hunt

Cheers!

HI Pratap,
Never get dissapointed to the people who screw you up...Walkins will be conducted to get the best candidate..I think Recruiters may be looking something which is not in u r they want some one with perfect match to the requirement.
Dont blame anyone for your failure...think positive and move ahead.
All the best.
