Dear All participants of this discussion,

Well, I thought of ignoring this message. But then thought of sharing my comments.

Earlier also I have told that the first reason why companies are going for Full-Time MBA's is because supply is more than demand. Every year...as many as 200,000 people complete their 2 year MBA Course. These numbers are much higher then number of people who do their MBA's in USA or UK.

Secondly, people mentioned about knowledge. They even said that even people from IIM's makes silly mistakes. Who said that, MBA is about knowledge. If it is about knowledge, you don't even need to do MBA. MBA, is about grooming. People can study anywhere. But to be groomed properly, you need to go to institutes...to colleges. Grooming the personality, confidence building, take decisions about right or wrong, leadership skills, Competitiveness (How many people can clear CAT Exam...or for that matter and entrance exam? . These and many more are the skills...you cannot gain on your own. A person spends 10-40 thousand rupees for his Correspondence/Distance MBA...whereas a person who is doing full-time MBA from a good institute spends anything between 5-7 lakhs. Do you think, he is crazy?

Let me put one simple case to you. When you go out for dinner. You prefer to go to a hotel based on your budget or status. Same is true for companies. Don't you get advices from your elders in the family to eat at a decent place; Hygienic place?? Will you take your food or lunch at a road-side open shops or Dhaba's ? It is not that all 5-star hotels cook good food..they make errors but chances are less. It is not that all Dhaba's are unhygnic or unhealthy but chances are more. It is not that those Dhaba's are not doing any business. They are earning well. There are chances that one day some good and rich person will come to one of those Dhaba's...take is dinner like...might like the food...and might sponsor him to change his shop to a nice place..might also finance him. Until then, he need to wait.

Same way, those with distance education or correspondence MBA... need to wait for the right time and right opportunity. They don't need to get frustrated or be impatience. Last year, Google India gave an advertisement for Manager-HR. In total they received 1276 applications (all from full time MBA's). From 1276...around 260 were applicants from A+ category of institutes. What will you say about it?

Have patience. Wait for the right opportunity. Don't try to jump...immediately after the completion of your Correspondence MBA, continue with same company...grow within. It will help.

Regards
