An effective trainer uses ppts, but never turns his/her back towards trainees. Its a thumb rule , trained/taught in T3 prograames that even if u write on the board/flip chart, u wudn't turn ur back towards trainees.
PPt always helps take a smooth path. I ensure, as a trainer, that I use ppts, to a minimal extent. Also, they serve as guidelines/bullet points for the trainer and the trainee, the trainer can go on explaining the points.
Also, ppts are usually prefeered and enjoyed by trainees!
