project report on competency profiling and competency mapping

hiiii every1.
actually the problem is that i m doin my traning at bajaj allianz life insurance patna. when i go dere regardings my summer tranin dey ddnt suggested any topic to me. they just told me do ur project on any topic which u like. we vl provide u certificate on dat. we vl provide you information watever u want. then from net i hav choosen the topic "competency profiling and competency mappin" n parallel wise m doin part time job 2. but wen i completed more than half of my project by taking info from net and some info from the organization then they told me that we r not running any competency based program. then i thought that its fine i vl do thorough study on this topic but the problem is dat if at the time of placement they do cross questioning with me m not able to answer it. and i think they ofcourse know that whether in bajaj allianz competency profiling and mapping is done or not.then how can i prepare my project on dat topic which is not related with the organisation.
so i decided to change my topic n choose easy topic like traning and development.
one more thing is dat now i got a project of one of my super senior on "competency profilin and maappin" . but it is psu based competency profilingn m doin my project in insurance sector. i dnt want to change dis topic becase this is latest , different and helpful .can i do my project based on my senior project?? or i should switch to another project.
plzz kindly help me asap.

If you know that during your Viva you will asked about the project relatin to Bajaj, and as they do not have this process with them till now, it is advisable to change your topic to something else which you think they have the data and can support you on.
Also as you have your interest in Compentancy mapping.. you can anyhow prepare your porject on it for self-study. You cna keep this project as an Add on in your interviews.
