Building and other construction workers act 1996 and MH Rules, 2007
Dear All

I have a query in the definition of other construction work mentioned under BOC Act, 1996.

To construct a factory, we have engaged some 15 contractors.

Some contractors are from furniture , machinery installation, fire protection work etc and their man power is more than 10.

In this scenario every contractor has to take a registration certificate under the said act or only civil contractor has to take.

other than this, if u have Maharashtra state notification related to this definition other construction work.

Please send to my mail id

Awaiting for your valuable reply.

Dear

It has already been discussed in this forum that the registration under BOCW is of the establishment being/to be constructed and not of the contractors or the owner. Please go through the provisions laid down u/s 7 and section 2(1)(i) of the BOCW Act

Best wishes
