:D Hi Shiva !
Are you planning to work with a legacy system such as SAP or Peoplesoft? or Will be working on design aspect of a Training Database System?
If its a Generic project, you may wish to start with the Data Flow Model .. First make sure you have the Algorithm of Data, the Entry points, the Data Interrelationships.
To simplify I am providing certain questions, just try to answer them .. you may end up with a workable model.
1. What Information is Required ? How do you translate them in the form of a Database ? How many Interralationships are there ?
2. What will be the End Product ? Will it be a stand-alone warehouse or something that will keep changing ? What Relational changes are needed if its a relational database ?
Just my viewpoints .. I think if you tell something more regarding the project, the group will try to be of help ..

Shiva,
Is your project an HR project or a Systems project? Are you defining a process or are you going to code.
What is the scope of your project.
That your are working on the Training module of HRIS is not meaningful enough for someone to suggest.
