rewards policy in current economic condition

I want to know if there has been any effect on policies of rewards and recognition due to current economic slowdown.

Hi Yogesh,
The reward and recognition is for the good work done. Normally the good work will amount to some financial benefit to the company / avoid loss to the company then what is the problem for the company to reward the employee with a minimal benefit and what way it is linked to the economic slowdown.

I had this question in my mind as the conpanies usually have a budget prepared for the policy, some percent of revenue earned or a fixed amount per employee. Also the organisation will have a good excuse to reduce the amount by pointing to the slowdown.
