Is it compulsory to encash pl to managerial level employees as per factory act?
Dear team one of my employee is demanding pl encashment after completing 1 year of his relieving of company. as per our company policy employee cannot encash his balance pl at any cost neither he can use it against your notice period. now he is threatening me with labor law. i want to know that is it compulsory to encash pl to managerial level employees as per factory act or shop and establishment act if yes then in which section and act my head office is in mumbai please help. thanx & regards hrd.

Dear seniors please help me in below matter. one of our employee wants to encash his pl while working in service what should i have to do ? can we encash his leave ? beacuse i am doing encahement only of anyone leaving his jobat the time of full and final settlement we are doing his pl encahment. but now situation is diffrerent the employee is still working with us. and he wants to encash his leaves. please revert me back with your valauble feedback. regards vrusha

Hi friends i have a small query would appreciate if you can help me out in this. as you all know we have pl privilege leaves around 12 16 depending on the company for the employees who have completed one year of service. my doubt is if the employee who has completed the service of 4 yrs and has a balance of 12 pl s for the service of 2006 at the end of december 2007 has resigned in december to be relieved in january 2008. will he be eligible for the 12 plfor the service of 2007 or will he not be eligible. if he is eligible should we the company give him the encashment or...? and how many days will he be eligible? kindly help me out on this at the earliest. regards julie

Dear all looking for clarity on a few points regarding leave policy applicable to it companies in kerala. 1 based on kerala shops and establishment act do all companies with more than 10 employees require to follow a leave policy given below or is there an exemption in the number of 12 days cl 12 days sl 12 days earned leave pl after 1 year of service with the company 2 considering a company with a staff size of 100 members is it possible to consider the below leave policy? 6 days cl 12 days sl 12 days pl after 1 year of service with the company in addition to the 4 national holidays 9 festival holidays 13 days holiday calendar. 3 also in regard to the credit of pl would the employee s pl leave balance be credited with 12 days pl immediately after completion of 1 year of continuous service or would the credit be given as 1 day pl per month starting from the 13th month to the 24th month of service? up to a maximum accumulation of 24 days pl in the 24 months following the 1 year of service completion. any help will be appreciated. thank you.
