Hello All,
First of all thanks for viewing my message.I completed my MBA in 2007 through distance course and have 3 yrs experience as a recruiter.Recently i left my last job due to some personal reasons and also i started giving interviews for the next job.I gave so many interviews and due to salary and lack of specific experience(like i have IT recruitments experience but not non-IT) i was not considered. My gut feelings says that iam eligble for the job iam applied for but how i should convince the interviewer on that.Is this due to recession or should i need to improve on anything in presenting myself??
Try to share your views so that i will know where the problem exists!

Hi..

Nothing to improve yourself infact there's nothing like recession this thing happened with me also i left the job since in 2007 after that i was jobless till 2009 I used to go for interviews...but the same thing happened with me also.don't feel low just becuz there's recession n all that it doesn't mean that u don't gonna have next job..!

sometimes it takes time.As you have mentioned that u have worked as a recruiter for 3 yrs than you also must be familiar with interviewer's question???infact u can understand easily what actually recruiter want to listen when you answer....only thing is that most of the employer's when they really not interested than all this things happens.

So don't worry be happy and always think u r the best!!!

And one more thing if the problem persists even after 2 to 4 months better go for a some other job with low salary and even if it's not your line.cuz someone suggested me it's better to have something in your hand rather than nothin'

otherwise i think u are from IT field u'll not be jobless for many days.

Have a nice day ahead

Dear Sangeeta

Do not feel bad if you are not selected. If you know that you can do the IT & Non IT recruitment better than any Tom, Dik & Harry out there. You actually understand your potential. Believe in yourself. That is the only mantra of success.

Why don't you ask the interviewer (during the interview) that what are their expectations from person who gets this position. Reply to this question will give you a fair clue to frame your immediate response.
See, interview is a two way process. If you are not asking question / seeking clarifications that means you are not involved and can not convince that you have the capacity to do wonders.
There is nothing to do with recession here. Market is doing well and all companies have started hiring and especially picking good candidates. Companies are piling-up with fresh and experienced recruitments faster because of the firmly growing market forecasts only.

Do good in interview and make interviewer understand your past achievements as well as your creativity. All the best.

Hi,
First dont lose your hope. During the interview time you just explain all your clients details, no of position which you are closed then how much you billed for your company these things very important for any recruiter opening, if you brief all those thing in a clear manner surely you will get that job. 8 months before am also faced this type of problem. so just impress the interviewer with your positive answer.

Kindly remember all actions of yours wont bring the desired results. Hence wait for the right time and right moments for the things to click. There are days when you give your best and there are days when u dont perform like indian cricket team a day they score 335 runs and next day they get all out for 180 runs.....so stars also matter...luck is also needed....and of course a good performance .....
