First of all, I would like to know that if you have done your MBA in HR, then why would you need to do a certificate course again? Is your MBA not certified?

And to apply in a consultancy, it is not mandatory to have a certificate course, even fresh graduates are wroking in consulting firms (though with a lesser salary).

What I would suggest is keep on applying, and you can obviously start as a fresher. Recruitments have slowed down, but have not stopped completely. The only thing that will come against your chance is the experience you are having is not into HR. But anyways you will be applying as a fresher.

Revert back for any further queries.

Send a copy of your updated resume at :
Hi
You dont need to do any certification for getting a job in recruitment firm.
Let me tell you a simple way of clearing any interview.
For the post of recruiter,or infact for any job you just need to tell the recruiter that you knw what all a person is required to do at that particular post. But beaware this should nt be a lie.
When you will say this thing , he wll definately ask you practical questions...like how will you search a particular profile etc...
So you need to do a thoroughs tudy on how resumes are searched on job portals.
Once you knw that, rest is just calling people n lining them up, which can be easily done if you have good or even average communciation skills.

When you say words like this, you through a n open challenge to recruiter, that you are confident n have the knowledge . However you can also be honest if you dont know anything out of what all recuiter is looking for inside the candidate....
Like i got a call from a consultancy, N i had everything what all he was demanding for except exposure to statuatory compliances. So i clearly told him see i have fair amount of exp in all what you are looking for except this. I have only bookish knowledge of this. I can learn it fast provided i get some guidance from someone in the starting.
In this way you clear your picture, n also help recruyiter to analyse you properly & correctly.

Hope you got something form this.
Feel free to contact for any clarifications.
