Instead of thinking of impsoing PENALTY, why not think of APPRECIATION to those who follow your Uniform Policy ! I mean to say, more or less everyone in this discussion have suggested the negative approach for implementing a system. Will anybody disagree with me if I suggest that keep it as one of the criteria for appraising performance?
Those who follow company policies should be given some weightage for that in their appraisal ratings. Those who do not, no Penalty. Instead, the reward for wearing the Uniform should be so lucrative enought that the necessity of imposing penalty is automatically becomes null. Gradually, wearing a uniform will become a habit and that is what you want, right?
