Hello Everybody,
I work in an Export Company which has 58 no. of employees but we are not registered with PF or ESI. Now suddenly our management has decided to register the company with PF & ESI.
So now my query is that since many years we have not registered with PF & ESI though we are legally entitled to so now suddenly can we register or the ESI & PF departments are going to see our past records.
Kindly suggest me how to go for it.
Regards,
Jinamayee

Dear ,
Please apply for ESI & PF registration number & there is no need to show past records for ESI/PF offices.
Only you have to explain to ESI/PF inspector who will visited to your factory before allocated ESI/PF number to your company.
Please with immediate effect you should apply for ESI/PF numbers.
There is no need to hire any consultant ,you can do this job easily,
Please let me know your company location,we have one person at Kasba Industrial area who can guide you in a better manner free of cost.
Dont suggest to anyone for hiring consuotant, everything is available on internet or ask to us.
Best Regards
Sajid

Hi,
Almost all the private companies will have their consultants to take care of these compliance payments, I would advice to consult any of the CA's or Lawyers near by, coz they'll know these consultants and will guide you or you might want to wait at the PF office, you'll see many consultants filing the returns in the 1st week of the month on the 7th or the 8th.

Dear Jinamayee,

I have gone through your query and found the reply given by J.S.Malik is right and the answer given by Global overseas144 is wrong.

When we apply for P.F. & ESI number this is the first question which have to answer from which date employee exceed 20 and monthwise detail of employee since inception. You have to pay the P.F. & ESIc contribution from the date when the employee exceed 20.

I advice to form a New Company with all new documentation otherwise you have to pay the PF/ESI contribution with interest from the date when exceed 20.

I will advise you to hire any good consultant he will advise accordingly after checking your Books of Accounts how many amounts booked in Salary & Wages account and for how many employees.

One more query raised by someone that how should I know my P.F. balance , you are advise to go your P.F. office alongwith your P.F. slip and they will send you to the concern official who lookafter your accounts and he/she will let you know the exact status of your accounts.
