I have a query if a employer is having 4 nos. of employee whose salary is more than 10,000 and 16 no. of Employees whose salary is less than 6500 whether the employer has to get registration under PF act.

Last week I have joined in a small firm manufacturing electric pole. entire work is done through contract labour. it is an automatic manufacturing system hence very less (only 6-8 unskilled) labour are engaged in this unit.
We are having less than 20 employees and not maintaining provident fund. Please see my case and suggest if anything wrong with it.
