Default Help me

Hi,
This is kousi from blr.
At present I am working as Senior Programmer Analyst in a company called [ABC] in Blr.
I need one consultation from you Guys.
Actually some years back, I was working for a company called [XYZ] in Chennai.I worked there for 6 months during 2004.
I did not relieve this company properly for some personal reasons,
After leaving I just sent a resignation letter thru courier to my project manager and HR manager.
I did not get proper reply from them.
After that some how I managed to get the job from my current company [ABC].
Now my problem is that I have 6 months gap in my carrier.
Is there any possibility that will I get relieving letter or resignation acceptance letter from my previous company [XYZ]?
If I approach them will it help me to get above certificates from my previous employer [XYZ]?

Regards
Kousi

Seems to me that since you didn’t leave the Company (XYZ) in a proper manner they also have not responded to your resignation in a proper manner; seems fair to me.

But HR or your project manager is the only hope of you ever getting a service letter. So you might as well go ahead and talk to them with this regard giving then a solid explanation and getting the letter done because a service letter adds value. In my view other than approaching them, I don't see any other way of you getting it.

Good Luck!!!

Hi Kousi,

You can approach your previous employer for relieving letter, most likely your's would be recovery case wherein they will ask you to pay for notice period which you didn't serve. Once you make that payment then you are surely entitled to receive the relieving letter unless your previous organizaion has some other pratice.

However I would also suggest that pls do not repeat this in future, one should always exit an organization through proper route howsoever difficult it might be.

Hi Guys,
Thanks for your reply.
Actually i joined to my previous company[XYZ] by providing fake information.Actually i had 2 years original experience but i provided 4.5 years experience before joining to that company[xyz].
But some how, my manager in that company came to know that i am not having that much experience.Due to my fear, i came out from that company. I joined in to some other company(current company[abc]).
In my previous company offer letter, they did not mention any notice period for my designation level(programmer).
if i approach them, will they ask me to pay for notice period?
In this situation, if I approach them will it help for me to get service certificate?

Regards

Koushi,

You have not only left the company on 'not so good grounds' but also had made a fake entry.

Whe you were caught by your manager the best thing would have been to apologise and continued there with your hard work you could have made it and also proved yourself in front of them instead you chose to run away.

On what grounds do you think the employer should not give you the experience letter??

Anyways good luck. and alwaysKeep this in mind that you should present your genuine self and be sincere and committed- it pays

Cordially,
preet

Hi Kousi,

Everyone makes mistake & so have you!!! But a solution to mistakes is not to repeat that again. I assume that you have not given the same wrong information in ur present company.

See, it is not accepatble by any employer that their employees provide wrong information. So I will say they are not wrong in refusing to provide you relieving letter. But you should talk to ur senior there and find out a way. Tell them you have realized your mistake, pay them the notice period amount & explain to them that you have started your career fresh without any mistakes.

I am sure they will help you.

Regards,
Pooja

dear koushlya,

Gone through your posts and related suggestions from few friends.

1. As informed by your ex-employer, send your letter with a request to provide the experience certificate to you. Write the letter politely and state that the experience with them will be very crucial to your career and really you had to time there. Agree in your letter that you are ready to pay the money they require.

2. It happens in our life that some time our mistakes will use ourselves as target.

i pray that you get certificate soon.

wishes

senthil raj
