Default ******Salary to be fixed for Director Business Development

Hello,

We have a prospective candidate, who has 20 years of exp in running his own CRM business in kerela, for the position of Director Business Development.
His expectations are above 10 lakhs. I would like to know how to fix his salary (fixed and variable). Can i get some idea??????

Hi

Do you have any framed salary structure for your employees at different levels ?

If you already have refer that. You just can't fix variable pay instantly. Talk to your management and do a proper fitment exercise in to your scale structure and keep in your mind, while keeping variable pay you should decide before how will you actually measure his performance vis a vis variable pay. Without proper infrastructure, it might not work.

Dear Ruchi,

You can keep approximately 80 percent of the salary as fixed and the rest 20 percent amount can be kept as variable.

As the candidate is joining you as Business Development Head it is much easier.

To give you more clarity let us assume his salary is finalised at 10 lacs out of which you kept 8.0 lacs as fixed and 2.0 lacs as variable which is linked to his performance whcich is measurable sale.

If he achives 100 % of the target : he will get 2.0 lacs full
Achives 80 % give him 1.6 lacs
Achives 50 % give him 1.0 lac

so on and so forth./
