Dear seniors pl suggest on this case one business development guy is being sent to kenya for 6month or more.he was residing with his family in gurgaon due to this movement he has shifted his family to his home town.this guy is being provided accomodation and da in kenya. now he is asking for relocation cost of shifting his family.is he entitled for relocation amount?.in past we have given relocation amount to employees who have been permanently shifted from one location to another within india. does the above case comes under the priview of relocation claim regards hrbuff
Relocation policy
Hi all we are currently creating a relocation policy for our organization it consulting. relocation includes movement of employees from one center to the other either on deputation or permanent transfer. we have decided that any tenure more than 6 months would be considered as a permanent relocation. this would mean that he/she would not be entitled to the daily allowances while on deputation. what we are grappling with is what happens when a project spills over to the seventh or eight month or a year? do we continue giving the daily allowance or do we stop or do we reduce the allowance? please keep in mind that the resource/manager may not be responsible for the work may spill over after the sixth month. how do we lay it down in a policy? can somebody help me? thank you.

Relocation reimbursement recovery
Hi; we provided relocation to employees who joined last year november. now our management wants us to recover the same from them incase they leave the company before 1 year. however we did not mentioned this recovery iclause in appointment letter relocation resimbursement approval note or hr policy handed over to the employees during joining. also a new circulation came stating effective from feb 09 any employee joining the relocation will be recovered if he or she leaves the company before completion of on year starting from the doj. so my question is can we legally or ethicaly recover the relocation amount from any employee who joined before feb 09 or at november 2008? what are the legal and ethical implication the company can go through. thanks for quick suggestion.

Hello hr community i am a software professional located in milwaukee wi looking for your thoughts on a subject that has me stumped. the majority of the team that i work with is located across the country in our los angeles ca office. my fiance and i would like to move to los angeles for obvious reasons the weather. workwise this move would make complete sense for the business as i will be closer to the team. i don t believe it is unreasonable to request such a transfer but can i expect the business to offer a relocation package and/or a pay increase to offset the increase in cost of living? notes which may affect the outcome? los angeles cost of living is 15 greater than milwaukee work for a 5000 employee public company been with the company for 1.5yrs was recently promoted with a 10k raise thanks ahead of time
