Dear Tushar Swar,

Child means a person who have not competed the age of 14 years. Person above 15 years become adolescent. Factories Act,1948 does not allow us to employ children in factory.

For a fact, you haven't mentioned the age group of children you are hiring. If the age exceeds 15 years, then with a fitness certificate it looks quite fine. However, if the age is below 15 years and the work is hazardous also, then it spells TROUBLE.
Moreover, the nature of work also makes a difference. With India being a labor driven country, simple errands of getting stationary etc is still acceptable. However factory work is illegal.

Hi Dear,
Employment of child is prohibited under factory act. Now question is who is child? as per ILO and Indian Law the definition of child is whosoever has not completed the age of 14 years will be in the category of child. From 15 yrs to 18 yrs guy is called as young worker and a young worker can be given employment under the given guideline in factory act. Above the 18 yrs guy called adult worker.

Thanks

Despite of different provisions for the age group between 15 to 18 in factories act, try to avoid to employ the persons below 18 years of age. It is in the broad interest of the society/nation.
