Hello Everyone!
Summer is here...and health is one thing that is left unnoticed.
We should take care of ourselves at this time. A little effort will pay.
Please drink lot of water (avoid carbonated drinks...we tend to drink...but pls avoid)
Drink tender coconut...its really good, at least one everyday
Take frequent baths (not kidding). SIcne its humid - dust sticks on to us easily. So we have to be careful abt our skin and the potential threats
Wear cotton clothes, avoid nylon..synthetic material.
While traveling, wear sunglasses and also a sunscreen lotion. If on two wheeler, wear a scarf (specially women) and hand gloves.
Avoid having food like chicken and like wise that will produce a lot of heat in the body
Have a lot of lemon juice, cucumber salad...
Everyone, pls suggest what you feel is good at thispoint.
This can be passed on to employees.

Yes pls avoid all sort of non-veg...including egg!!
Also try to avoid oily n spicy foods...
If possible drink juice and eat some water melon...instead of bringing plain water from home try...lime water which will prevent dehydration in ur body...
Pls avoid roaming out in sunshine...we used to call it "Looo" in hindi (Hot wind), which is very dangerous for everyone...so cover ur face (for all boys n gals) n enjoy this summer safely...

From my personal experience.. I see my level of concentraion decreasing. Easily get orritaed and not able to focus on one work for a long time.
Its so so humid..and to get something like tender coconut, we have to go outside..even our helper around is dead tired. Feel bad to force her to get it as its scorching hot in the mornings.

Good post ASHA.:icon13:
I wud suggest sweet lime juice.. its so cool. And curd, yoghurt too will help.
If having a meal, I wud suggest curd rice.
Avoid mangoes, spicy food, chat items, which produces heat in the body...
Rose water will really help for all....

Great Chira... I have never heard b4 that Onion is gud during summer - I must try that. May be a mixture of onion and cucumber salad must help.
And everyone - I just said it was burning hot...and after a couple of hours it was pouring here heavily in Coimbatore, TN. This climate can be very dangerous...
If in case any one is goin thru a bad throat or feels slight irritation in the throat, try this.
Add a pinchof turmeric podwer and some sugar in luke warm milk, and drink it b4 going to sleep at nite. This will help in soothening ur throat and clearing of possible infection.
I have tried it.
