I should have checked up with IGNOU before posting.... Sorry for inconvenience
[Still as far as correspondence goes.... IGNOU does have upper hand. Though they might not be providing BBA]
Will be more careful while posting in future..

In my knowledge there is no formal ranking of correspondence colleges / universities... nor do we have it for regular universities...
Still some of the top universities that are known for regular courses are [cannot give by rank order as correspondence courses have still not been ranked, but all of them have equally good course curriculum]
# Aligarh Muslim University
# Anna University, Chennai
# Banglore University,karnataka
# Cochin University of Science And Technology
# University of Delhi
# Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar University, Agra
# Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University
# Jamia Hamdard University
# Himachal Pradesh University
# Himachal Pradesh Agricultural University
# Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU)
# Jawaharlal Nehru University
# Osmania University, Hyderabad
# ICFAI University, Hyderabad
# University of Mumbai
# Manipal University
# National Law School of India University
# University of Pune
# Pondicherry University
# Punjab University, Chandigarh
# University of Roorkee, Uttaranchal
# Tamil Nadu Universities
# University of Calicut
# Kerala University
# MG University
Could not confirm whether all of them do conduct BBA, so you need to check up with their respective websites.
And yes Jamia Hamdard is also considered to be one of the top universities...
Some of the private universities (i.e. ICFAI etc also have placement cells for their correspondence students - how effective? cannot comment)

Thanks for your valuable feedback. I got to know 2 days back only ICFAI university is not UGC approved and when I spoke to UGC, was told that these people are not even authorized to open their branch offices and they have not yet got any approval for this. They said ICFAI would take atleast 4-7 years to get UGC approval. This was just for your information.

As for ICFAI - Hyderabad and ICFAI - Mumbai, both have been listed in top 10 and top 25 business schools of india by "Business Today" - [June 2005-edition]
So we can be sure about their course content and teaching method.. Atleast of MBA and is they maintain the same quality at BBA level, then UGC recognition or no recognition, may not make much of a difference atleast for the private sector
This is my personal view.... others can differ
