Hi aarchi,
First tell me after doing BTECH how you came in to HR line?:x
my suggestion is first gain knowledge in the field of Hr then
you switch on to other job.It is more imp what extent you
have knowledge in the related field.rather then the type of
industry.

Hi Aarchi....
Firstly U dicid,U Like HR if u like than..
Its good, u r n HR.I would suggust u to b in HR for some time. There are some points to be think abt ur present job.
1) The platfrm( Co's Brand Name) : If it is known to Indian Corporate than there is no harm to stay here for some time.
2) If co is good in Engg recuitments like depends on ur co profile.what kind of HR Activities you are handling, somehow this experience seems to be bit oriented for future growth u can continue.
3) The tech guys in HR,many MNCs r liking to hire them like SHELL,BECHTEL,DOSSAN ENGG.
4) U can join Dist Learning MBA in HRA or MA in Physc..
If u dont want to be in HR than make quick change to any averg Engg comp with Tech profile....

the days of specilaization are over - its the time for being a 'consultant'. Hence don't look to please anyone by stating that you are a B Tech and are now is HR. Its impt to realize that everyone migrates into careers. I know of doctors who have now become great HR professionals. So lets understand that the world is full of opportunities for those who have open minds.

Having a spealization in HR is a good thing to have - no doubts. But that does not ensure a great HR professional. Primarily, one must love to study human behaviour, love to help people unconditionally without any bias, must be able to have a great business vision( this can be difficult for anyone irrespective of degree or exposure)....which is why we are all talking about strategic HR.

Don't believe too much in people....trust your conscience about your own capabilities. People have their own weak areas. they might be able to cover it up for some time.

Switching jobs is a function of the situation you find yourself in.....
