Our company from this financial year wants to restructure the salary heads of the employees and they have just sent a mass mail to all employees.
Is it require to issue separate letters to each employee clearly stating the revised structure or this mass mail would be enough.

Hi,
Salary is always a crucial and important issue for an organization.
Although mass mailing is done for information, but ideally you should give separate letter to all the employees and take their signature also as an acknowledgment or consent for the same.

Yes very correct. Either you need to send individual mail to each employee with new salary breakage or give them hard copy of it with one copy signed should be kept for record with HR department.

Dear,
m agreed with above given suggestion becoz, u can't disclose salary revision to another person.
There r some aspects which should be keep it to the department. so issue separate letters to the employees & take acknowledgement of same.

mass mailing salary information will not be correct as salary is supposed to be kept confidential.

It is always v. essential to keep a signed Hard copy of the Salary revision letters with HR. Separate mails could be send to employees also along with the Hard copy.

Mass mailing is fine to tell everyone that there will be a change in the salary structure to all, but please ensure that specific letters are issued to every single employee mentioning that what is the exact change in the salary or its structure and take an acknowledgement from everyone and keep the same in their personal files...
Please note that any such things like, salary, promotion, demotion, warning, termination, offer letter, acceptance etc must be accepted by the employee in writting in order to implement that instruction!!! It should be done like this to avoid any disputes in future...
This is good HR Practice also!!!
Thanks

Each person may have different information with regards to his/her salary so it will be wise to send individual letters to them.
