Dear All,

For the F.Y 2005-06 onwards what is the minimum Bonus payable?

I want to get a copy of recent circulars , where i should i get?
Please guide me?

Some of my friends told me that The Minimum Bonus payable is revised from Rs, 2500/- to 3500/-
Is it True?

There had been no changes regarding Bonus.

Dear Shekhar,

THere is no change in bonus. I think you have some misunderstanding.

The Eligibility of employee for bonus is :

Employee drawing wages upto Rs. 3500/- per month or less. But remember.....

The calculation of bonus will be done on 2500/- only even if an employee is drawing salary/wages upto Rs. 3500/- per month.

Dear Ali,
Does this mean that any amount below Rs 3500 will be cosidered for bonus @Rs 2500??Be it Rs 1500 but the bonus calculation will be @Rs 2500?

What Ali meant was that if salary is above Rs. 3500.00, no Bonus is payable. If salary is more than Rs. 2500.00 and up to Rs. 3500.00 bonus will be paid assuming salary was Rs. 2500.00. If salary is less than Rs. 2500.00 it will be paid on that amount.(For eg. if salary is Rs.1500.00, bonus will be paid on Rs 1500.00

Dear Sekhar

The bonus is given min. 8.33% of wage and maximum 20% of wage of employee.The percentage of bonus is decided on the basis of allocable surplus of the company.

For the calculation of bonus the upper limit is Rs. 3500 as the wages and below this on actual as applicable.

Dear Pramod,
Bonus below Rs.3500.00 salary is not on actuals but from Rs. 2500.00 to Rs.3500.00, it is assuming that salary is Rs. 2500.00. Below Rs. 2500.00, it is on actuals.
