I am Shikha from delhi and pursuing my final year HR curretly i am working in Power Sector Unit at Noida and as a Secreatary to the CEO of the Company and I have an experince of 5+ in the same profile.:)
Now i want to come in HR line as a Tr/Exective. Will you pls help me all for searching of HR Tr/Executive Jobs. I have a bit experinces in recuritment also.
I also want to know the decision which has been taken my me for change the carrier line from Secretary to HR is right or not:confused:

dear shikha i feel your decision is right.you can grow yourself in HR as future in secretary does not seems to be good.if you have intrest in HR Than not a bad idea. j s malik

I am also like you. Me also in power sector in the same capacity. I have planned to change like u and join HR. I am pursuing MBA 4th Sem specialisation in HR and will join HR. Your's is good decision for future. If you do MBA or diploma in HR, will be more beneficial for you. Please keep in touch yourself with this very good site and go through the valuable suggestions and experinece being posted by our seniors. I have found this site very helpful for a professional.

Its nice to know that u r working, as well as pursuing ur education.
There is nothing wrong in u considering a change from Secretary to HR. But it all matters in how u r presenting urself to an employer.
Because - its just that u may not get the best offer.
So, when u r being interviewd - u need to highlight that, u gained knowledge on Organinational working pattern. About the exact needs of the Organization.
You also need to say that - as a Secretary to the CEO, ur work was not defined only to one area. You also had the opportunity to interact with employees, take part in recruitment and other relatated areas.
You need to have a one-to-one discussion with a person in the HR department - may be say, at an executive level. Try and find out what exactly their role comprises of, and have a glance at the reports they submit. This should help u in understanding how to answer the interview questions and how to gather information relevant to the position in HR u r applying for.
