Hi,
I need advise for my following conern.
I had resigned from a company 2 years back. At that time they had given me a full and final settlment letter stated that I need to pay Rs 23,673 for some dues and after i pay they would do the closing formalities like providing me the Releiving Letter and also Form 16 of year 2006-07
I am ready to pay the amount now to get my releiving letter and Form 16 because i have to file me return which is already too too late.
I do not want to argue or anything, but just send the money and get my docs.
Please provide me a draft sample letter i should send with the cheque of Rs 23,673 so that everything i need is i have asked and all is done from my side by sending the amount.

Hi,
I suggest that prepare a cheque and a letter giving ref of F & f letter mentioning that you are paying the said amount and would like to receive a relieving letter and form 16. Talk to HR of your earlier company and request them to keep ready both and submit the cheque and take your documents. That will solve the matter once for all.

thank you for the advise, i really appreciate.
I would like the 'wordings' to be used in the letter sent along with the cheque. Wording mean i try to understand and want how to use the terminology like 'final settlement dues' , 'close my employee account' , 'releiving letter' etc....typical words so that i dont miss out anything in asking and clarifying

HR Manager
Sub : Full & Final Settlement
Ref : Full & Final settlement Letter dated .................
Dear Sir,
In reference to above letter I would like to pay the full amount due as my full and final settlement. Enclosing herewith the cheque / DD (No)............dated ...........for amt......... as required by you. Kindly complete the settlement process at the earliest and issue me a relieving letter and form 16.
