Dear Friends,

I would like to update you all about FREE HRM Software available at www.orangehrm.com

I'm currently using it and its simple. Though installing it is little tough but its really good. I suggest you all to give it a try.

I'm even trying the option of coming up with my version of this software, since it is FREE. I shall distribute free of cost.

However, If you know any other software, please do let us know.

Hi Sujata,

I appreciate your interest. I'm preparing a document to help people install that. Let me explain you in brief.

First you need to install the following software in same order:

1. PHP (Ver. 4) - Version 5 is not supported.
2. Apache Webserver (latest version)
3. MySQL (latest version)

Then you install the OrangeHRM software. However, you may need to configure it to run properly. My next posting will contain an attachment with step by step instructions.

However, if you want to see how it runs, www.orangehrm.com has online demo. You can try it there.

Thanks for the info. It would be interesting to see if the ESS would merge into an existing content mgmt. system framework, say Drupal.

Would you be aware of other open source HR systems?
